Private Instruction
Two Rivers Performing Arts School currently offers weekly private instruction in voice, piano, guitar, woodwind and brass instruments, violin and viola, and percussion for the student who is devoted to practicing. Students are expected to participate in one of our monthly recitals at least twice a year.
Music Production
Students can learn to record and produce their own music with our DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) using recording-industry standard software, including Avid Pro Tools, Propellerhead Reason and plug-ins too numerous to name!
Music Theory and Composition
Designed around the AP Music Theory Exam, these courses guide the serious student through intermediate and advanced music theory, and introduces music composition techniques and concepts.
Fees and Policies
Tuition: $22; for 30 minute lessons, $39 for 60 minute lessons. All tuition and fees are due by the 15th of each month. Payment can be made by check, cash or by using the online option. NOTE: Accounts that are not paid in full by the 15th of the month will be charged an additional $30 late fee.
Discounts:
Sibling Discount (for one additional sibling) and Multiple Course Discount (for one additional course): $5; Only one type of discount per family may apply. NOTE: Accounts that are not paid in full by the 30th of the month will not be eligible for any type of discount until the account is paid in full.

Attendance: We recognize absences are sometimes unavoidable! For this reason, students will be allowed three (3) excused absences during Winter-Spring trimester (January-May), three (3) excused absences during the Summer trimester (June-August), and three (3) excused absences during the Fall trimester. An excused absence is one in which the instructor (not the school) is notified of the absence by 12:00pm on the day of the lesson. An excused absence can be made-up or credited towards the next month’s tuition (make-up lessons are contingent on the instructor’s availability and are not guaranteed). An unexcused absence is any absence beyond the number of allowed excused absences per semester and “no-shows” (when a student misses a lesson and the instructor is not notified). All unexcused absences will incur normal tuition charges.

Other Materials and Fees:
Students must provide their own instruments, and purchase methods books assigned by their instructor. Assistance with the purchase of an instrument can be provided by TRPAS staff upon request. Method books may be purchased from TRPAS or Amazon.

Practice:
The time of instruction is a fraction of the work required to learn how to play an instrument. The majority of the work takes place at home in the time spent by the student with the instrument. Most music lessons fail when students fail to develop healthy practice habits, and it's usually up to the parent to support and promote regular (daily) practice habits!

Closings:
We are closed on Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Good Friday, Easter, and Christmas Break. Inclement weather closings are communicated through email.
